# Endpoints & Networking

Aurora exposes regional S3-compatible endpoints. Choose the endpoint closest to your compute or required data residency.

> Available S3 endpoint: `a-s3.aur.lu` (France, Albi).

## Current endpoints

- a-s3.aur.lu — France, Albi (default)
- Additional regions: contact support

## Connectivity

- Protocols: HTTPS (TLS 1.2+)
- Path-style addressing is supported and recommended for consistent SDK behavior.
- DNS: Ensure outbound DNS resolution from your network to `a-s3.aur.lu`.

## Firewall and proxies

- Allow outbound 443/TCP to the selected endpoint.
- If using a corporate proxy, configure SDK/CLI with proxy environment variables.

## Timeouts and retries

- Use SDK defaults; consider exponential backoff on 5xx and throttling.
- Tune connection pools for high-concurrency workloads.
